Desert Garden Montessori is excited to welcome Ms. Jessica as a part time High School Mathematics Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year, teaching Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus! Ms. Jessica brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her new role. With 10 years of teaching experience in mathematics—ranging from Algebra to Calculus and Linear Algebra—Jessica has worked in both small and large school settings, cultivating a passion for helping students succeed in math. Ms. Jessica holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education: Mathematics from Arizona State University. She believes that every student can succeed in math, especially when they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Her fascination with the human brain and how we learn inspires her to foster a growth mindset in her students, encouraging them to embrace challenges and see mistakes as opportunities for growth. Outside the classroom, Jessica loves spending time outdoors and often goes hiking with her dogs, Felix and Bodhi. She and her husband enjoy hosting exchange students and have welcomed teens from Japan, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Italy, France, and Germany into their home. Jessica also brings a global perspective to her work, having been an exchange student in Thailand at the age of 17. In her free time, she enjoys singing, reading, and traveling. Jessica is already hard at work developing curriculum and preparing for the upcoming year. The DGM community is thrilled to have her on board and looks forward to the energy and expertise she will bring to the classroom.
